What’s In Your Bag Daily That’s Weighing You Down?

What You Don’t Know Is Hurting You

When you have been carrying a burden a long time, it eventually becomes too much.  It can drain you spiritually,  physically, financially, emotionally, and mentally.  The unfortunate thing is that most people are not even aware they are carrying around a burden, or worse, they are not sure what the burden is.

Let’s Define The Bag And The Burdens

The bag is not a literal bag, it is a metaphor for your being.  Your being is specifically your heart, mind, soul, and physical frame.  What’s in your heart, in your soul, on your body, and your mind daily that is weighing you down?

There are tangible and intangible burdens.  Your beliefs, emotions, feelings, and thoughts can weigh you down.  A chronically negative and unloving attitude can weigh you down. The intangible burdens can be summed up in one phrase: “a lack of unconditional love”.  Interestingly, the intangible burdens can cause the tangible burdens of excess physical body weight and financial problems.

The One Burden You Must Be Wary Of

The one burden we must be wary of is the emotional burden of fear.  Phrased another way is “the burden caused by the absence of love”.  Interestingly, fear has many faces: envy, jealousy, ignorance, procrastination, perfectionism, greed, hoarding, selfishness, arrogance, pride, stubbornness, laziness, impatience, lack of trust, lack of motivation, worry, anxiety, resentment, doubt, uncertainty, confusion, low self-esteem, low self-confidence, narcissism, unhealthy attachments, and hatred. Yet fear is an emotion, and we must remember that we create all emotions and feelings because of the untruths we believe and think about ourselves.

The Only Answer To Your Problem

Seek the truth.  If you remain confused due to lack of knowledge, it is so much easier to be swayed and manipulated by your emotions, thoughts, and others.  Gain clarity about your purpose, your identity, and your calling.  Understand that your purpose and identity are constant and unchanging; however, your calling may change.  Learn to embrace each moment without creating feeling of fear.  Accept that things may sometimes not go as you planned.  Trust that if you are being loving that all will ultimately work out for the best.  Embrace love fully, be totally healthy, and live abundantly.
