I have often said that one of the most powerful weapons in our arsenal is not our heart, it’s our mind. The mind has the power to override the heart and your gut instincts. That is why we must be ever diligent and mindful of what is going on in our minds. We must check those thoughts and beliefs for validity and truth. We can all have twenty-twenty vision looking back. But we must remember that sometimes, we made the best decision at that time. Examining our story is not about criticism and judgment, it is about discovering where the faulty mindset developed, where the unhealthy beliefs and thoughts took root.
