6 Practices To Get Spiritually Healthy

I came to realize the importance of getting spiritually healthy after I had tried just about every diet and failed. Without a healthy spiritual foundation, it is difficult to be confidently grounded to make consistently healthy choices. You know my story; I gained weight because I was not aware that my emotions and feelings were signals that I was out of spiritual alignment.

SIGNS YOU ARE NOT SPIRITUALLY ALIGNED

The biggest sign that you are out of spiritual alignment is your emotional state. You lack emotional sobriety, which means that you get yanked around daily by your emotions. One minute you are happy and excited, the next minute you are angry and frustrated. The next clue that you are out of spiritual alignment is your mental state. You have “racing thoughts,” which leave you feeling scattered and irritable. Your thoughts are often not grounded in truth. Another sign that you are out of spiritual alignment is your financial state. Your finances are a mess. You spend without knowing what’s in your account, which leads to unnecessary debt. The most obvious sign that we are out of spiritual alignment is our physical state. The most important sign for me was my spiritual state. I felt disconnected from my source of power, and I was not bearing fruit.

SPIRITUAL HEALTH LEADS TO TOTAL HEALTH

Being spiritually healthy is not only a way of living, but also a way of believing. What we believe we live. What we believe is manifested in our lives. When we believe in the truth, we find that we become emotionally sober, our mental framework is reinforced and healthy, we have a healthy financial portfolio, our physical health is optimized, and we are spiritually grounded in love and live from a state of abundance.

THE P.L.A.N. TO GET SPIRITUALLY HEALTHY

You cannot get spiritually healthy without this P.L.A.N. In fact, there is no other way to accomplish any goal. “P” is often the hardest part for many. When you finally realize how important “P” is to your TOTAL HEALTH, you will find a way to be patient. It was not easy for me. However, this is what I came to realize, the absence of “P” is a big clue that you are not spiritually healthy. Patience is only possible when you KNOW no matter the outcome, all will be okay. Furthermore, you KNOW that the God who is in control has PERFECT timing and keeps His promises. The lack of patience is in essence a LACK of trust and the presence of fear.

Patience to be still and trust the process. Patience to wait for the change to be outwardly apparent.

Love of God, self, and others. Love that is ready and willing to make the sacrifices to be your BEST.

Acceptance of the situation and accountability for your choices.

Now is where you live. Stop dying in your painful past or strangling in a fearful future. When we learn to live in the moment, we see and appreciate our bountiful blessings. We live in a state of gratitude that negates fear and neutralizes our pain.

6 PRACTICES THAT LEAD TO SPIRITUAL HEALTH

I have been a Christian my entire life; however, I did not live a life of Christian spirituality. The key to living a life of Christian spirituality is LOVE. Love casts out fear. Love trusts and knows there is enough, and it will ultimately work out for the good when we love unconditionally. There will be NO fear when we truly LOVE.

  1. Silent time with God
  2. Regular worship
  3. Daily and often prayer
  4. Regular BIBLE study
  5. Frequent fellowship with other believers
  6. Serving others with our gifts and talents
