Everything Bad Comes From One State

Think about this for a minute, or perhaps twenty minutes; examine your story and notice the poor, bad, or unhealthy decisions, choices, or actions taken. Think back, “What state were you in?” My guess, more than likely you were in a state of fear, a place of fear that was either real or imagined.

How Fear Shows Up In Your Life

I was surprised recently to come to the realization that I was behaving, or rather acting from a place of fear. What was even more interesting, I was quite good at justifying my emotional state. The thing about life, when you are not living in a state of love, you are quite vulnerable to being manipulated by fear. Fear shows up as doubts, causing you to doubt your good fortune, and leading you to believe or think you are not worthy. Fear can even masquerade as guilt and shame. Perhaps fear convinces you that you are being too greedy, and you should settle for what you have. Then fear tells you wait, procrastinate a little more, because you can still get it done in time. Then we see how fear convinces you that if you are not perfect there is no use in trying, so you simply give up. Fear always sends you mixed messages to keep you in the dark.

Fear Has One Objective

If you have not figured this one out by now, fear has kept you so distracted and busy, you are not seeing the truth. Therein lies the objective of fear, deception and chaos wrap your mind so tightly in confusion that you lose sight of the truth. You forget the key principles of abundant living. You have forgotten that you are a child of God, created in His image, and ordained to live abundantly. Yet, you may be examining your story and realizing that you have not been living abundantly. Sadly, I came to that realization in 2018. I had allowed fear to control my every decision; thus, while it appeared that I was doing well, fear had me jumping through hoops. Wondering why you are so tired or exhausted sometimes? Fear may be controlling the strings in your life.

Learn To Discern When Fear Is Controlling You

Anxiety is a big red flag that fear has become involved in your life. Insomnia may also be the result of fear controlling your life. Procrastination, as mentioned previously, is another biggie that may clue you in that fear has a leading role in your life. Feeling restless? The inability to just be is often the fear of discovering what’s there or the fear that you are missing out. Are there instances when fear truly is warranted? Sure, when it is a life or death situation, fear motivates you to save yourself, hopefully in a manner that is practical or logical. That is why one must use discernment to clearly see the truth of the situation, rather than being manipulated by your emotional reality, which often has little to do with the truth. Resentment, anger, or hostility may be the result of fear pushing your buttons. Let’s not forget a big one, pride. Pride is often a cover for fear of one’s lack of power, worth, or control. Greed, who knew, it’s a fear that there is not enough or that you don’t have enough. Selfishness is often really the fear that you are irrelevant. If it’s a recurring theme in your life, it is time to examine your story.

The Only Solution For Fear

It really is true, and I will repeat again, “love conquers fear” every time. When you learn to trust and embrace love fully, there is no space for fear to sneak in. Kick fear to the curb with a healthy dose of unconditional love.

    1. Unfortunately, we give fear way too much power. Hopefully with recognition we can kick fear to the curb with LOVE!
